Comment: Recent phylogenetic research established that the large genus Eulophia needed to be split in two to obtain a monophyletic status. Since the oldest available name within the newly separated group was Orthochilus this name has been reinstated. Worldwide: 35 species in Subsaharan Africa, Madagascar, tropical and subtropical America. Rwanda: 6 taxa. |
