250 cm high; Shrub; Notes: Scrambling shrub, 250 cm high, with woody stems and twining upper branches. Leaves: very similar to 1403, but not hairy. Compound, leaflets oval, opposite, very slightly discolorous, mostly imparipinnate. Fruits: pods, clustered, brown and leathery, splitting to reveal oval red seeds with a black tip.

25 m high; Tree; Notes: Tree, 25 m tall. Single trunk, yellowish and somewhat powdery. Strong, paired, hooked thorns. Branches come out somewhat horizontally. Leaves large and feathery, with more than 15 pinnae pairs and a very large, squat, petiolar gland. Flowers: cream coloured, in long spikes. Fruits: pods papery - leathery, long and narrow, reddish brown.

8 m high; Tree; Notes: Tree, 8 m tall. Trunk simple, somewhat rough but yellowish. Spines long and narrow, younger ones short. Leaves with 15 pinnae pairs, pinnules small and closely packed. Large gland at base of first pinnae pair. Can get into very large trees with spreading canopy. Common. Voucher for Tree Atlas Project.

1.6 m high; Shrub; Notes: Shrub, 1.6 m high. Yellowish green stems. Straight white thorns with darker tips.

6 m high; Tree; Shrub; Notes: Tree or multistemmed shrub, 6 m high. Trunk yellowish with dark, rough areas. Leaves dark green above, lighter below, velvety. Leaflets large, almost rectangular, asymmetric. Voucher for Tree Atlas Project.

4 m high; Tree; Shrub; Notes: Tree, 4 m high. Stem: one thick central stem, but lots of others growing outward around it, rough, grey, young growth straw coloured. Leaves: very stiff and leathery, alternate to subopposite, badly eaten and infested. Very sharp tip. There are others - more suffrutex, but stiff stems.

120 cm high; Shrub; Notes: Shrub, 120 cm high. Stems: velvety, with very small prickles. Leaves: concolorous, velvety, especially below.

4 m high; Shrub; Notes: Shrub, 4 m tall, climbing into other trees. Stems green. Paired hooked thorns at nodes. Leaves velvety. Fruit globose, hanging down. Most species shaded.

Tree; Notes: Shrubby tree, 2 m tall. Discolorous leaves, opposite. Fruit a round green berry, inferior ovary. Rubiaceae. 2 specimens.

Creeper; Notes: Creeper with woody stem, fluted. young stems green and deeply fluted. Leaves compound, stiff, shiny green. Petiole and rachis winged. Leaflet shiny, smooth, bright green, margin irregularly toothed, venation prominent. Flowers in axillary spikes and long peduncle, with a tendril at top of peduncle. Creamy white with yellow stamens.
