250 cm high; Shrub; Notes: Scrambling shrub, 250 cm high, with woody stems and twining upper branches. Leaves: very similar to 1403, but not hairy. Compound, leaflets oval, opposite, very slightly discolorous, mostly imparipinnate. Fruits: pods, clustered, brown and leathery, splitting to reveal oval red seeds with a black tip.

25 m high; Tree; Notes: Tree, 25 m tall. Single trunk, yellowish and somewhat powdery. Strong, paired, hooked thorns. Branches come out somewhat horizontally. Leaves large and feathery, with more than 15 pinnae pairs and a very large, squat, petiolar gland. Flowers: cream coloured, in long spikes. Fruits: pods papery - leathery, long and narrow, reddish brown.

Large gland at base of first pinnae pair. Can get into very large trees with spreading canopy. Common. Voucher for Tree Atlas Project.

Creamy white with yellow stamens.
