Seedlings from parent tree in same garden

Shrub 3m, elsewhere observed at 4.5 m. Leaves very sharp-prickly. Flowers deep pink.

Tips of some fronds arching over and where they touch ground new plants develop

Tree 40 m. DBH 75 cm, heavily buttressed. Bark smooth, grey. Slash white, soft,wet. Underbark bright yellow.

Spreading stems from woody root. Vexillum rose, keel off white tinged pink. Common. [Position estimated]

Plant erect, 0.4 m high. Name on the sheet is Amaranthus hybridus L. subsp. incurvatus (Trimen ex Gren & Godr.) Brenan which per POWO is a synonym of A. cruentus.

Evergreen tree, 3 m, with conical crown from ground level. Flowers sweetly scented.

Tree 3 m with rounded crown, flowering prolifically with a few new leaves. Flowers pink: petals white ± densely speckled with pink, the upper petal very densely so and looks dark pink from short distance. Most attractive when in flower.

Liane climbing over a 7 m high shrub. Hairs soft and rust-brown.

Dense ± runded shurb 1.5 m. Corymbs flat, fertile flowers powder blue, marginal flowers white.

Soft-woody, rounded, deciduous shrub, 1.7m; inflorescence rounded-dome shaped, most peduncles, pedicels light blue, petals very light blue, a few peduncles, pedicels, petals very light green; all flowers appear sterile.

Somewhat spreading shrub 1.2 m slightly aromatic scent reminiscent of tar and spices. Flowers golden yellow, showy against the dark green foliage.

Tree 6 m. Bark smooth, grey, very thin; UB green. Flowers white with very slight musty-sweet scent.

Record as a note on a Ligustrum lucidum specimen, Biegel 5453.

Clusters of stems from ends of rhizomes; fronds to 4ft high

Self-sown greenhouse plant. Weak herb, more or less decumbent and rooting at the nodes.
